FG To Sponsor 100 First Class Graduates Abroad
MINISTER of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has said the Federal Government is set to sponsor 100 first class graduates for further studies abroad. He spoke on Sunday in Kano during a media interaction and an awards ceremony. Shekarau said the100 first class materials would be sponsored under the Special Presidential Scholarship Programme.

The Super Eagles have ended the year as the ninth best team in Africa after dropping a place in the December ranking released on Thursday Nigeria’s senior national team has dropped a place to end 2014 as the 43rd best team in the world and ninth in Africa according to the latest Fifa world ranking released on Thursday. Stephen Keshi’s men began the year on a shaky note as they dropped four places to 41st in the January no thanks to their 2-1 defeat to Mali in the African Nations Championship game, a tournament that has been upgraded to ranking status by Fifa.

Video: Nigerian Student Beaten Mercilessly On The Street Of Malaysia
According to the person who uploaded the video on Youtube, Mansur a Nigerian student in Malaysia had an argument with a bike rider and before he knew what was going on, about seven other men had joined the bike rider to assault him. The beatings were quiet much as they were seen kicking him severally and using all sorts of weapons including a nightstick and helmet on him. He was just helpless and when police officers came, the man, Mansur was eventually handcuffed and was still assaulted again right in front of the police officers, with two of them looking away. It grants Scholarship awards to deserving indigenes in various tertiary institutions for full time studies in order to assist these students FINANCIALLY.
Before Applying Please Read
All applicants are required to make a Payment of N2,000.00 for Local Scholarship through the Office of Special Adviser on Education, Alausa Secretariat.
Then take the treasury receipt to the Lagos State Scholarship Board to secure their secret voucher pins for online application. Application will not be processed without evidence of treasury receipt.
Application deadline is Wednesday 3rd December, 2014.
PROCESS FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR LOCAL UNDER-GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
1.All applicants must have gained full time admission into an accredited Nigerian tertiary Institution.
2.All Under-graduate applicants:
i.Where CGPA scale is 7.0 (e.g University of Ibadan) he /she must possess a minimum of 4.6/7.0
ii.Where CGPA scale is 5.0 (e.g University of Lagos) he /she must possess a minimum of 3.5/5.0
iii.Where CGPA scale is 4.0 (e.g polytechnics and colleges of education) he /she must possess a Minimum of 3.0/4.0
iv.Where applicant is a medical student in 200L, option i, ii and iii applies
v.Where applicant is a medical student in 300L and above a minimum of Credit is required in their result
3.All applicants must be in their second year or above
4.All applicants must have completed LASRRA Registration
5.All applicants must have a signed letter of identification from their respective Oba
6.All applicants must have a signed letter of identification from their respective local government
7.All applicants must purchase a Scholarship application form. (Payment of N2,000.00 for Local Scholarship) through the Office of Special Adviser on Education, Block 5, 3rd Floor, Alausa Secretariat.
8.All applicants must upload clear scanned copies of all documents to ascertain the genuineness of their claims. Documents like:
i.Admission Letter

vi.Lagos State Resident Registration Agency(LASSRA) registration card vii.Passport Photograph (clear background not older than three months).

10.Successful applicants will be contacted for oral interview

FUTMINNA Online Registration: Document Upload for Admitted 2014/2015 Candidates
Candidates should visit the school's portal at:
eportal.futminna.edu.ng.
- Candidates would then login as existing users using the student ID and password.
_ When login successfully candidates can now click on the "Academic Records" link on their page.
- Candidates can now upload their documents (I.e birth certificate, first and second sitting results, jamb result slip, referee letter etc) on the academic record page and fill other records. Documents are to to be scanned.
